SALES POLICY AND WAITING LIST
Thank you for your interest in an animal from Itty Bitty Acres.
Waiting List
We will be having a waiting list this year. If you are interested in a particular breeding and wish to be added to our waiting list please let us know. Once babies hit the ground from that breeding and kids are available we will require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold. You will have one week to provide the deposit before the kid is advertised for sale.
For Sale
All available goats will be advertised on our "For Sale" page and a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to hold. NO EXCEPTIONS. The balance of payment will be required before the animal leaves our farm. Accepted forms of payment are e-transfer, cash or cheque. If paying by cheque we will require the balance of payment 2 weeks in advance of pick-up as the cheque will need to clear before the animal leaves the premises. We reserve the right to retain any animal and to refuse the sale of an animal to anyone at our discretion. If we decide to retain or refuse to sell an animal the deposit will be refunded.
If the animal you are purchasing is a kid we will require that bucklings be picked up at 8 weeks of age. Doelings and wethers at 10 weeks of age unless alternate arrangements are made with us or if we feel that a kid is not yet ready and will benefit from further time with its dam. Short term board may be arranged and a daily board fee will be charged. If no arrangements have been made for board and the animal is not picked up by the agreed upon date, the deposit will be forfeit and we will advertise the animal as available for sale.
All bucklings and doelings will be registered, disbudded, tattooed, vaccinated and have been given Baycox prior to leaving.
Wethers will be disbudded, vaccinated and given Baycox prior to leaving.
We do our best to disbud but cannot guarantee that an animal will not end up with scurs.
If there is an issue with the health of an animal that is due to a genetic defect or conclusively is the result of our negligence as determined by a qualified Veterinarian we will work towards a satisfactory solution with the purchaser. No animal will leave our premises if we are aware of a health issue and every effort will be made to ensure you are happy with your purchase.
We do not provide carriers unless arranged prior to pick-up and a fee of $75.00 will be charged if we are supplying a carrier.
Our Promise to You
We will do our utmost to match you with an animal for the purpose you are wanting it for whether it be for pet, show, milking, breeding, etc. and will be asking you questions to try to match you with the right animal. As we are dealing with living, breathing animals we can provide no guarantee as to how the animal will mature as once they leave our premises we then have no control over feed and care of these animals. We are quite attached to our goats and will be looking for homes that are a suitable match for each specific animal. We want you to be happy with your purchase and will do what we can to ensure that you are. As goats are herd animals we will not sell an individual animal to a home where there are no other goats.
Our goats will be in good health, free of disease or injury at time of pick-up. After leaving our premises we will not be held responsible for the well-being of the animal as stress can cause considerable health issues and, again, we have no control over the feeding and caring of the animal at this point.
Vet checks can be arranged prior to the animal leaving at the purchaser's expense.
Our commitment and support does not end upon pick-up of your animal. If we are able to assist you in making your goat journey a success we would be more than happy to do so.
Please ask if you have any questions - there is no such thing as a dumb question and we are happy to provide any information we can. If we do not have an answer we will try to point you in the right direction to get the answers you need.
All of our animals a year and older are tested annually for CAE and Johnes and we have had no CL abscesses in our herd.
Last testing done March 2019 and results are posted below.
Again, thank you for your interest!
